Team LOLA Ladies

NEW: LOLA Ladies Spring Run and Walk Teams are forming now. Commit to your health in this new decade! YOU are the CAUSE...no fundraising, just fitness, friends & fun!  Train to complete a 5k, 10k or a  1/2 Marathon this Spring. The team will be training to participate in the Marin Marathon Races to be held on Sunday April 25th in our beautiful Marin County.
  • Three different distances offer many choices  for all levels of runners & walkers. The 13 week training  begins February 6th and runs through May 1st. 
  • The LOLA program is dedicated to women. Attention to a healthy diet with ongoing support/education, small training groups, coached workouts, special clinics, sports nutrition & flexible training calendars, everyone will get to their finish line goal!
Training Schedule: Training begins February 6th. Coached group track workouts are offered 3x/week working on speed and form.  You choose which time works best for you each week:
  • Tuesday 6:15am at Tam High in Mill Valley,
  • Wednesdays 9:15am at College of Marin Track in Kentfield
  • Wednesdays 6pm at Tam High, evening workout
These workouts last 50-60 mins and should only be done once a week.
Group Weekend Workouts: Long weekend runs/walks meet at 8am on Saturday mornings. These endurance workouts will help to build your mileage over the 3 months from 1 mile to 13 miles.....and you will always have your LOLA Ladies teammates & coaches out on the course with you. These fun long group workouts take place at various beautiful spots throughout Southern & Central Marin. These coached group workouts are supported with food/fluids along the way. You run your own pace, no runner left behind. The LOLA staff will be there when you finish!
Team Info Meetings: Come and learn all about Team LOLA Ladies, the training schedule, the races, and hear from the coaches and other teammates. Come and get fit before the summer and have fun with the girls! Reserve your space now for one of our info meetings.

Team LOLA Girls

LOLA Girls is for girls ages 8-12. This 10 week program includes nutrition education, run training and LOLA Family Workouts. The Spring LOLA Program will run from March 2 through May 14th, 2010.   Team LOLA Girls will be training to participate in the Marin Human Race on Saturday May 8th. All levels welcome, no formal run experience necessary. Registration forms can be downloaded through the "Contact Us" button. Please bring the form and a check made payable to LOLA to the first meeting.
When: 3 sessions available: Tuesdays 3:30-4:30pm ( Mill Valley), Thursdays 3:45-4:45pm ( Mill Valley) & Fridays 3:30-4:30 ( Kentfield)

Ready, Set, START! Program for beginners

NEW:  Team LOLA Ladies Beginners Program: Ready, Set, START!  This 9 week program is designed for those that have wanted to try running or walking with a group, those coming back from an injury/illness/pregnancy, or those that are just needing or wanting to get moving for health and wellness! The program runs March 20th through May 15th and will culminate with the team participating in a local 5k run/walk.
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS: Program includes:
  • 2 coached group workouts/week, informational clinics with guest speakers
  • Ongoing healthy diet support/education from Team LOLA Nutritionist
  • Sports Nutrition information and products
  • Detailed training materials & workout calendar

Team LOLA Girls-East Bay

NEW* LOLA Girls is coming to Lafayette! The popular program for girls ages 8-12 is forming their Spring team.  The 9 week LOLA program includes nutrition education, run training, and LOLA Family Workouts. Join Coach Amy Berryhill for the Spring program which will run from February 24th through April 28th, 2010. Team LOLA Girls will be training to participate in the J.F. Kapnek 5k Family Fun Run on April 25th, 2010 at Miramonte High School. (optional, but fun!) Spring Track Series

LOLA  Track Series begins Wednesday January 27th 2010 at College of Marin track. Want to get faster? Work on your form?  The Spring series will "run" from January 27th through May 26th.  The coached workouts are held each week. ( rain cancels workout)

LOLA Girls Trail Mix

Mixing It Up On The Trails! An introduction to trail running for girls ages 10-14*. The  program will take the girls (& coach) to a new trail each week. The girls will learn the technique of trail running while experiencing all the beauty of being on the trails!  The trails will be located at various places in Southern Marin and will be easy to moderate level of difficulty. Girls must be comfortable ascending/descending small hills with some previous run experience necessary.  Class size will be very limited for safety.
** Prerequesite-Runner must be at least 10 yrs. of age and have previously participated in a LOLA program and/or at coach’s discretion.
** All Trail Mix participants are welcome to attend the weekend LOLA Family workouts.

LOLA Boys Trail Mix

LOLA Boys Trail Mix begins December 1st and runs through January 26th. This introduction to trail running for boys ages 9-13 will take the boys to a new trail each week around Mill Valley. This noncompetitive team environment will teach the boys to ascend & descend hills, be a great fitness builder and offer cross-training for Springtime sports and best of all.....allows the boys to get outside & get dirty! Rain or Shine!
When: Tuesdays 3:30-4:30pm beginning Dec.1st
Where: Trails!
Who: boys ages 9-13 that want to get out on the trails. Some run experience necessary.
